Custom Education Digital Platforms for Growth

Last updated:

ID8 implements learning platforms for UAE enterprises, universities, training institutes and L&D teams — TalentLMS for corporate onboarding and compliance, LearnWorlds for monetised online academies and customer education. We handle tenant setup, Arabic and RTL learner experiences, SSO with Microsoft Entra ID and Google Workspace, HRMS integration, SCORM and xAPI migration, certification workflows and analytics dashboards. Whether you're a Dubai academy launching paid courses, a multi-emirate group standardising onboarding across business units, or a government-adjacent body running mandated compliance training, the rollout ships in 4–8 weeks with audit-ready reporting, KHDA or MOE-aligned content structures where required, and an L&D team trained to run the platform independently.

Choosing between corporate LMS and monetised academy

Most education technology decisions in the UAE reduce to one question that is rarely asked early enough: are you training people who already belong to your organisation, or selling learning to people who do not? Corporate onboarding and compliance training optimise for enrolment automation, mandatory completion, audit trails and HR system integration. Monetised academies optimise for pricing, funnels, certificates buyers value, and content merchandising. Platforms that are excellent at one are usually mediocre at the other.

ID8 implements TalentLMS for the first case and LearnWorlds for the second, and will say so plainly during discovery rather than fitting the brief to whichever licence is easier to resell. Where an organisation genuinely needs both — internal compliance plus external customer education — we scope them as two tenants with a shared identity layer instead of forcing one platform to do both badly.

What rollout actually involves

A rollout is mostly integration and structure, not configuration screens. Identity comes first: single sign-on through Microsoft Entra ID or Google Workspace, so learners never manage another password and deprovisioning follows the HR record. Enrolment logic is then driven from the HRMS — department, role, location and joining date decide which mandatory modules appear, which is what makes compliance training defensible at audit rather than dependent on an administrator remembering to assign courses.

Content migration is the phase organisations underestimate. Legacy libraries usually exist as SCORM 2004 packages or older, and moving them without re-authoring depends on testing each package's tracking behaviour in the new platform. Where richer analytics are required, xAPI gives statement-level visibility into learner behaviour that SCORM cannot express. We test migration on a representative sample before committing a full library.

Arabic and RTL learner experiences, certification workflows with expiry and renewal, and reporting dashboards for L&D and department heads complete the standard scope. Rollouts typically run four to eight weeks depending on integration count and content volume.

Education institutions versus enterprise L&D

Universities, schools and training institutes in the UAE carry requirements enterprises do not: accreditation-aligned course structures, KHDA or Ministry of Education reporting expectations depending on the licence, student lifecycle rather than employee lifecycle, and parent or sponsor visibility. Enterprise L&D teams instead carry mandated compliance, audit exposure and a constant stream of joiners and leavers.

Both need the same underlying property: reporting that an external party would accept. We design the data model around the questions the organisation will eventually be asked — who completed what, when, and can you prove it — because retrofitting that into a live platform is expensive.

Handover and running the platform yourselves

An implementation that only the implementer can operate is a liability. Every engagement ends with the client's L&D or academic team trained to build courses, manage cohorts, run reports and handle enrolment exceptions without raising a ticket. We document the integration points and the decisions behind them, so the next change — a new HRMS, a new business unit, a new certification — does not require rediscovery.

Ongoing support is available as a retainer for organisations that want a partner for roadmap work, but it should be a choice, not a dependency created by design.

How we know

Last updated:

In Q1 2026 we rolled out TalentLMS for a UAE corporate group's compliance programme, federated via Microsoft Entra ID SSO and synced to BambooHR. New-hire onboarding completion against mandated modules improved substantially, with average completion time cut significantly across the first onboarding cohorts.

Statistic: UNESCO's 1.5 billion-learner global disruption in 2020 made enterprise LMS a baseline tool; SCORM 2004 4th Edition and xAPI (Experience API) remain the dominant content-interoperability standards used to migrate legacy courses without re-authoring.
